We have talked about this many times in these columns that the present generation big movies are busy scoring huge openings, but none are bothered about those 50 days and 100 days range. But here comes an answer for that now.
During those days of Megastar Chiranjeevi, many of his films used to run for 50 days in hundreds of centres across the state. However this trend took a down turn with big-stars solely focusing on openings than long run. Even the successors of Chiru are not achieving this feat now-a-days. Answering all those critics blasting big movies, Prabhas's latest offering ‘Mirchi’ is now running in 238 centres when the movie is hitting 50 days mark. Many say that hunk hero Prabhas has once again brought back the days of Chiru. We have to see which other film will score such a hit this year.
Many big flicks including Baadshah, Greekuveerudu, Balupu, Iddarammayilatho are gearing up for a release in lucrative summer season. So let us see if anyone of them will beat Mirchi.
