Mirchi has crossed Racha overall collections both in Andhra Pradesh and Overseas. It is also on the verge of crossing Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu collections in Andhra Pradesh. As Mirchi is still running on share in the main centers it might just cross it, expects the trade

With Baadshah slated to release in few days time this could be the final week for Mirchi as far as getting share would be concerned. Mirchi has collected approximately 45.6 Cr worldwide so far.

Mirchi Beats Naayak and SVSC

Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s Mirchi has recently completed its 50 days run at the box office. And in the process of completing its 50 days run the film has beaten Naayak and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’s 50 days centers. Even the combined 50 days centers of both the films are less than half of the direct 50 days centers of the film Mirchi.

Mirchi has completed 50 days run in 194 direct centers and 238 if taken the shift centers into consideration.

However this trend took a down turn with big-stars solely focusing on openings than long run. Even the successors of Chiru are not achieving this feat now-a-days. Answering all those critics blasting big movies, Prabhas's latest offering ‘Mirchi’ is now running in 238 centres when the movie is hitting 50 days mark. Many say that hunk hero Prabhas has once again brought back the days of Chiru. We have to see which other film will score such  a hit this year.

Many big flicks including Baadshah, Greekuveerudu, Balupu, Iddarammayilatho are gearing up for a release in lucrative summer season. So  let us see if anyone of them will beat Mirchi.

Mirchi sets a new record in Prabhas’ career

                    

Mirchi has set a new record in Prabhas’ 11- year-old career and what’s surprising is that this new feat comes at a time when it was believed to be a thing of a bygone era. The film has completed its 50 days run today in a whopping 238 centres across the state and two centres in US. Incidentally, none of the films featuring big stars have managed to achieve this feat in recent years. Talking about the film’s outstanding run at the box office, one of the producers of the film, Pramod said, “The main reason why the film has been so well received at the box office is that it appealed to all sections of the audience.

The film had a great mix of action, comedy and family drama which worked in its favour.” Mirchi is also the biggest hit in Prabhas’ career so far, but a film running in more than 200 centres even after 50 days are a rarity these days.A decade ago, more than the film’s opening collections and revenue collected in long run, the number of theatres it was screened for after 50 days and 100 days was considered to be the most prestigious thing for a film. Actors like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan had films which managed to run in more than 200 centres even after 50 days and now Prabhas has joined this elite list.

Over the past few years, the dynamics of Telugu film industry has changed so much that it’s practically not possible to expect a film to have a dream run at the box office for more than four weeks. As a result, most producers, filmmakers and actors began concentrating on releasing the film in maximum number of theatres in the first week to rake in the moolah. In fact, several bigwigs in the industry have openly declared that we may never have a film celebrating silver jubilee events in future.

A well known publicist says, “The main reason for Mirchi’s dream run at the box office is because it appealed to people from different sections. Moreover, the fact that none of the films which released after Mirchi managed to do well, shifted the tide in Mirchi’s favour even after so many days.” Directed by Koratala Siva, the film had Prabhas, Anushka and Richa Gangopadhyay in lead roles.

Earlier, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's 'Naayak' ran 50 days directly in 55 centers in AP, while Victory Venkatesh and Prince Mahesh Babu's 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' ran 50 days in 25 centers in this year. So, 'mirchi' defeated both the movies with a big lead of its centers. However, as far as the collections are concerned, 'mirchi' falls short of both the above movies.

Steady collections  of the movie even in the 4th week and 5th week run,  addition of a rain fight, with no big movie's release during the 50 days of 'mirchi' and producers' interest running the movie in maximum number of center are said to be the instant reasons for the good run of 'mirchi' at the box office.

It's Prabhas not Pawan!

                           

Young hero Nitin's romantic entertainer, 'gunde jaari gallanthayyinde's function has been thought to be attended by Power Star Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest. However, it is now heard that Pawan Kalyan will be replaced by Young Rebel Star Prabhas, as the latter has reportedly given his nod to grace the occasion. It is a known news that Pawan Kalyan was the chief guest of Nitin's previous hit movie 'Ishq' audio launch. Perhaps, Pawan Kalyan might have thought that it would be monotonous if he attended the audio launch of Nitin's movie second time in a row. Meanwhile, the audio launch will be held on 27th March in Hyderabad. 

Chubby and cute lady Nitya Menen was seen the romantic interest of Nitin in this movie. Anup Rubens has composed romantic tunes for this film. Pawan Kalyan's super hit song from 'Tholiprema', 'Emayyindo emo eevela' was remixed for Nitin in this film. Vijay Kumar Konda has directed the movie. The movie is being produced on Shreshta Movies.

Just few days back, Krishnam Raju registered a title in the film chamber and announced his plans to direct a sequel to 'Bobbili Brahmanna' with Prabhas in the lead role. Making use of the veteran actor's statement, the rumormongers have linked the directorial debut with the Marxist Che Guevara.
