‘Bahubali’ gets a big talent

  

Just recently director S S Rajamouli made it clear that no foreign actor is being taken for his new film ‘Bahubali’ but then it looks like he is trying to take actors within different regions of India. The latest news is that Rajamouli has taken the talented Kannada star Sudeep for an important role in the film.

Sources say Sudeep has joined the cast and he has begun getting into the mould of this period film. Already, Rajamouli exposed the strength and talent of Sudeep through his earlier film ‘Eega’. With this, it would be the third straight film for the Kannada actor who is fondly called as Kichcha by many.

 

Whether Sudeep is going to essay a positive or negative character is still a mystery but his presence has added more weight to the already heavy film. Starring Prabhas and Daggubati Rana in the lead, the film also has Anushka as the leading lady and Rajamouli has currently gone to the US on some work.

The remorseless villain in the movie Eega has joined the team of Prabhas starrer Bahubali. Yes, director Rajamouli has roped in Kannada superstar Sudeep to be a part of the film's cast. Young rebel Prabhas has already shot many scenes along with the muscular Rana for the film at a recent schedule in Kurnool.

It can be noted that Rajamouli has credited Sudeep as the most important reason for the success of Eega. Sudeep looked perfect as the mad businessman. Adding to Bahubali's positive talk, Sudeep has expressed his elation at the development. He has commented that is a pleasure to be working with the director again. “Bahubali shoot is surely an experience....awesome sets to awesome team,” he said. Other than the Eega villain, Arundhati star Anushka is also a part of this big budget film.

The shooting schedules of Prabhas, Rajamouli combo Baahubali have commenced at Rock Gardens in Kurnool. The much awaited film has finally started rolling its camera.

Finally after being in the news for a long time the shooting of Bahubali directed by SS Rajamouli is underway. A two days schedule has been started today in Kurnool which sees the presence of both Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Young Spark Daggubati Rana.

Shobu Yarlagadda is producing this big budgeted epic movie that is going to release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Anushka plays the female lead where as Adavi Sesh will be seen in an important role.

Action plan of Bahubali announced

                                

Tollywood success machine SS Rajamouli finally announced the date on which the shoot of his much-awaited flick 'Bahubali' is going to begin and also gave a clarification on the new technology he has chosen to use this time.

The regular shoot of Bahubali will begin from July 6th, which is also the release date of the director's previous celluloid wonder 'Eega'. As speculated by the media, the film willn't be shot in IMAX format as it's an expensive process and acquiring an IMAX camera is a daunting task because only 6 such cameras exist in the world. As a result, the unit will be shooting with Arri Alexa XT camera this time for the required output.

Rajamouli made it clear he is not a fan of 3D technology either as it's cumbersome and restrictive to shoot with the rig. The shortage of 3D screens in India also has a role in deterring him from thinking about it.

Bahubali is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual and the film will be dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and other foreign languages as well.The first schedule (outdoor) of 'Bahubali' is going to begin in Hyderabad and it would last for just 1 week. Then, the unit will be shooting continuously in the specially erected sets.

Multiple Languages Bahubali Starts Shoot From July 6

July 6, 2012 Eega was released worldwide and exactly a year later on the same day shooting of sensational director SS Rajamouli’s upcoming and most anticipated film Bahubali is going to begin. However it will be a small schedule of seven days on the outskirts of Hyderabad. A bigger schedule for the film is planned after a small gap again.

Bahubali will be a bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil confirmed the producer once again. Apart from those two languages Bahubali would be dubbed into Hindi and Malayalam and some other foreign languages modalities of which are currently being looked into by the director and producer.

This multiple languages Bahubali, stars Young Rebel Star Prabhas in the lead. Anushka acts as heroine besides him while Daggubati Rana plays the antagonist.

There is sky high expectations building on Young Rebel Star Prabhas’s next project Bahubali helmed by ace director SS Rajamouli. This is the second time Prabhas and Rajamouli are teaming after delivering a super hit Chatrapati few years ago. Things got disturbed when Krishnam Raju divulged the details to direct Prabhas for Okka Adugu from this August. When Rajamouli expressed his unhappiness on this, Prabhas went to his uncle and requested him to star Okka Adugu only after wrapping up Bahubali. The Old Rebel Star half heartedly agreed the deal for Young Rebel Star. So, the mediation of Prabhas was successful and Krishnam Raju’s Okka Adugu to be made under Gopi Krishna Movies banner might start only in next year.

Rajamouli is leaving no stone unturned to make his period drama 'Bahubali' a much more special film than anyone would have expected it to be.

The latest we hear is that our hotshot filmmaker is currently analyzing the feasibility of shooting this ambitious project in IMAX format. If everything falls in place, 'Bahubali' would earn the credit of being the first Telugu film to be shot in IMAX.

Apparently, The idea of IMAX format came to the mind of Rajamouli when he recently visited the Shanghai Film Festival where Eega was screened five times and received overwhelming response. He is planning to explore new territories in the International circuit by incorporating the IMAX format for 'Bahubali'. Only a director of Rajamouli's stature and track record could dare to cross such barriers. Hope, movie lovers get the opportunity of seeing those spine-chilling war field sequence in IMAX.

'Bahubali' is expected to go on floors by the end of July and the shoot will commence at a rapid pace from August this year. This tri-lingual (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi) is going to get much bigger in terms of new territories and revenues by the time it gears up for release.

Prabhas with three heroes

There was a time when all the Tollywood heroes were never interested to work with other heroes since they wanted to keep their fan base happy and had other reservations. But trend has changed and multi-starrer concept has been revived again. This time, it is heard that even Prabhas is also doing a multi-starrer.

He already has ‘Bahubali’ wherein he is teaming up with Daggubati Rana but now it is heard that for his new film to be made by uncle Krishnamraju, Prabhas is reportedly teaming up with three heroes. Already two of them are confirmed and they are Sharwanand and Nara Rohith who were convinced to be part of this film.

There is also news that another senior range actor will be taking part in the film. At this point, the whole thing looks crowded but how each character will be justified is a challenge Krishnamraju should handle. The way things are proceeding the film will be hitting the floors very soon.

It is a known news that veteran hero Krishnamraju is planning to direct the movie 'Okka Adugu' with Young Rebel Starprabhas as the hero. This movie would be launched in the month of August. According to this veteran star, the movie is going to be the biggest multi-starrer as it will have four lead roles in it. Apart from prabhas, Krishnamraju will also essay an important role in this movie. Young heroes Nara Rohit and Sharwanand are being considered for other lead roles in this movie. Notably, Prabhas was supposed to be busy with the shoot of Rajamouli's period drama Bahubali for the next one-and-half years. In that case, how could he allot call sheets for his uncle's flick? Krishnam Raju has announced the film while he was in Vijayawada. The film is touted to be an action entertainer and it would move on to the sets from the month of August. Looks like Prabhas will simultaneously shoot for Baahubali and this new project. However, other details of the film are to be announced soon.

It is worth mentioning that Krishnam Raju and Prabhas had acted together in Billa and Rebel films. Krishnam Raju also informed that Prabhas will get married in the next year in 2014 though he didn’t reveal the details of bride.

Though the film is yet to have its Muhurtham and the regular shooting date is also not announced, the film ‘Bahubali’ being directed by S S Rajamouli is creating a lot of speculations among the media circles and Tollywood people. The presence of Prabhas, Daggubati Rana, Anushka is adding to the masala.

A new discussion which has begun is about ‘Bahubali’ having a second part. The actual film’s budget is expected to touch Rs 80 crores easily and if a second part is brought in then the budget will easily touch Rs 200 crores. Does the film have so much market value to recover investment with profits?

There is a talk that discussions are happening on whether to have a second part or not due to various factors. But insiders say the script is so large that fitting everything into one film may not be easy. With Rajamouli in the front, we have to see if producer Shobu Yarlagadda will show the same confidence for a second part.
